Funding sources

Every way a customer can fund a stablecoin balance.

Halliday quotes the paths available to each customer and ranks them by highest output and lowest latency.

01
Cards and bank transfers

Debit and credit cards, bank transfers, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal through onramp providers such as Coinbase Onramp and Stripe.

02
Exchange accounts

Customers who already hold crypto at Coinbase, Binance, or another centralized exchange pay from that balance. Halliday delivers the stablecoin on your chain directly to the account.

03
Crypto from any chain

Tokens held in a customer's own wallet on another chain are bridged and swapped into your stablecoin automatically. Native USDC routes use Circle CCTP.

04
Direct stablecoin transfer

Customers already holding the stablecoin on your chain send it directly, with a QR code for mobile wallets.

How it works

How a stablecoin deposit works

  1. 01
    Customer taps add funds

The Halliday widget opens inside your app or webview, in your brand. No redirects to a third-party checkout - made possible by Noah.

  2. 02
    Halliday quotes and routes

Onramp providers, exchange withdrawals, bridges, and DEXs are compared in real time. Verified customers skip repeat KYC and move straight to funding.

  3. 03
Stablecoins land in the customer's account

Set the destination per payment: the customer's account address in your system, or a wallet they control. Balances can be updated on delivery via webhook.

Integration

Add stablecoin funding to your app, not a crypto stack.

The SDK widget is a complete funding and withdrawal UI for web and mobile webviews on iOS and Android, in your brand. The headless API is for teams building funding into their own native app.

  2. 02
    Choose where funds land

Pass a destination address per payment: the customer's account address in your system, or a wallet the customer controls.

  3. 03
Drop in the widget or call the API

The JavaScript SDK mounts the widget in a container element with a few lines of code. Or use the REST API to quote, create, and track payments behind your own UI.

  4. 04
    Subscribe to webhooks

Receive an event on your server when orders complete so customer balances update the moment stablecoins are delivered.

  5. 05
    Go live under one widget

One contract covers every onramp provider, rail, and market. New providers and regions added to Halliday's network become available to your customers automatically.

More details in the Halliday documentation.

Which payment methods can neobank customers use to buy stablecoins?

Debit and credit cards, bank transfers, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal through global onramp providers. Customers can also pay from a centralized exchange balance or with crypto held on any supported chain. The methods shown depend on each customer's location.

Do we need contracts with each onramp provider?

No. One agreement with Halliday covers every rail, provider, and market. Halliday manages the provider relationships, pricing tiers, and renewals, and adds new providers to your integration automatically.

Do customers have to complete KYC for every deposit?

No. Verified customers move straight to funding. Halliday's flow is designed so users verify once rather than repeating identity checks across multiple providers. KYC token sharing is made possible via Sumsub.

Does Halliday support withdrawals from our app?

Yes. Customers can move all or part of a stablecoin balance to their own wallet, to a centralized exchange deposit address, or offramp to a bank account by ACH, SEPA, or other methods. Swapping and bridging are built into the withdrawal widget, so a balance on one chain can arrive as a different stablecoin on another. Withdrawals can be sourced from a smart contract wallet, embedded wallet, smart account, or EOA.

Can customers cash out a stablecoin balance to their bank account?

Yes. Customers can offramp a stablecoin balance to a bank account by ACH, SEPA, or other methods through supported offramp providers, inside your app. Payout methods and availability depend on the customer's location and the provider.

Is Halliday custodial?

No. Each deposit starts at a deposit address controlled only by the owner address specified in the API call. Halliday never takes custody of customer funds, and a stalled payment can be recovered or retried by the owner.

What are the fees for onramping to USDC?

Fees depend on the onramp provider the customer selects and the chain the USDC is delivered on. Providers charge either zero fees or a percentage that varies by fiat source. If the destination chain lacks native USDC, a bridging step adds to the total. The Halliday SDK widget displays fees to end users. API responses for quotes show a breakdown of fees for a payment.

Can Halliday deliver stablecoins to a non-USD customer base?

Yes. Onramp providers support a range of fiat currencies, and the provider shown to each customer depends on their location. A customer's bank may apply an FX charge when the card currency differs from the onramp charge currency.

Does the Halliday widget work inside a mobile app?

Yes. The SDK widget runs in desktop web, on iOS and Android, and with React Native. Teams building a native funding screen can use the Halliday API, which works the same on every platform.
